I think that when trying to discover what motivates us, sometimes it is easy to aspire to be something that we simply are not. I think it’s imperative to remember that although there is nothing short of amazing that can come out of doing your absolute best every single day, the truly best results will come out of simply being you every single day.
When setting goals, staying in touch with yourself will make a huge difference in the results. When we expect something pure, what we get out of our efforts will, in turn, be pure. Don’t lose yourself in the rat race; it is not worth the work and time that it will take to have to find your center again. Just be you, do your best, and keep YOU in mind when trying new things.
This does not mean to hold back your goals, and lose a little motivation, because you don’t think you can handle it. This means to keep in mind your limitations, but also try and stretch them a reasonable amount.
So set a new goal today, a measurable one. And along your way to achieving that goal, remember to be true to yourself.
